Franklin Chafic Suncin Sosa, 47, who has no fixed address, is facing abduction and other charges following a violent incident that played out over the weekend in Catharpin.

According to a spokesperson from the Prince William County Police Department, at around 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, officers were called to the 4800 block of Sudley Road to investigate a reported domestic incident involving a 34-year-old woman and Sosa, described as an acquaintance, who got into a physical dispute that rapidly escalated.

Police say that Sosa "grabbed the woman's hair and pulled her from a vehicle, and continued to pull the victim by the hair around the property, forcibly preventing her from leaving."

During that span, Sosa is further accused of assaulting her repeatedly, leaving her with injuries before the two were separated, and warrants for Sosa's arrest were obtained by investigators.

Sosa was tracked down and arrested on Monday, officials said.

He was charged with malicious wounding, abduction, and two counts of domestic assault and battery. Sosa was held without bond pending his next court date.
